I was in a tough spot and had been for several months. A commercial contracting business that I own was experiencing huge growth in revenue. We had gone from around 650,000 to over 2 million in one year.
The stress and pressure that I was under at work was unbearable. To make matters worse, as work progressed I learned that there would not be much at all for profit and this just devastated me. For some reason I was willing to risk everything, give up free time, time at home and time with family, as long as their would be profit. When I learned this wasn't going to happen, I was instantly Looking. I was fed up.
As I sat in my office I made a list of what I wanted. I wanted a business that, as it grew, would not become a curse as my current one had. I had to take on more responsibility, more employees, over thirty actually, and I worked well over 80 hour per week. 80% of my employees that year earned more than I did. Yuk.
On my list I had written I would like to share information I have learned, I did not want to have to do physical labor and I wanted to earn multiple six figures from a home office. I also wanted to help others and be appreciated for the value that I added. I was not thinking of a business at the time, only the results I wanted in My Life.
The service I was providing at the time was viewed more as a commodity, and appreciation just was on the table. My thought at the time was to build a business in which I would take the fear or the unknown out of starting a business. It was something I had done a few times and I knew how to do it.
As I thought about that, I asked my self, do I really want to show people how to start a business that has brought on this much anguish in my own life. Sure I made great money over the years in business but the average person would not be willing to go through the struggles that I endured and work the hours I had worked.
Fast forward about three months: I was online looking for direct mail information and I came across an add. It read something like "Earn an executive level income from home. No employees, Boss, Or Commute." I thought yea right. It was a home based business opportunity advertisement. I had never paid attention to work at home ads and thought wow that's a weird ad.
I did follow the ad to a website though. I ended up getting started and now the person who placed that add is a home based business partner of mine. The home business that I had found met every criteria that I had listed on that paper just a few months earlier. Its neat how things work out.
I now work directly with the top income earners in the work at home based business industry and love it. We utilize a simple system that generates massive income and time freedom. Any one who is serious, motivated and has a significant income goal can have success here and make money doing something you can be proud of and do it all from home.
We operate in the personal development industry with a direct sales model and of course, home based. We are paid at the point of sale and enjoy profits of 1,5, and 8 thousand dollars for our three top of the line personal development products. And we work from home. An extremely profitable business also.
I can work with 2 or 3 new people each week. I help them get started. Show them the system and get them up and running toward their personal income and personal goals. I love the personal development industry. I have always been a student of personal development. This is important too. I would rather work with a person who is passionate about the products we market. And a person who truly values the ability to work from home.
