What is Financial Freedom? Can A Home Business Create It?

Financial freedom occurs when your monthly expenditures are equal to the passive income you generate and baring some financial catastrophe this will continue regardless of inflation.

As a note: People who say they want financial freedom many times don't. Ask yourself this simple question. Do I want more money? If you answer yes, that is great, however it has absolutely nothing to do with financial freedom.

I have found in my own experience and while talking with hundreds of "financial freedom" seekers that what people are really after is wealth. Visit again for more on that.

Now for financial freedom. And How will a home based business or, can a home based business create financial freedom? Here is my answer. ( if you disagree, can add, or have a comment lets hear it)

Yes, the RIGHT home based business can create financial freedom. It must be a home business that was designed with this one specific purpose in mind though. Financial Freedom is not a dream in 2008... You know that don't you? You are the one who will create financial freedom, this is one of the key's. If you don't do it you won't know it.... The business is a vehicle, your the only one with the power to create.

Financial Freedom Is a product today. I market it myself. I would rather market financial freedom than any product in the world. Seems we live in a money driven society and if your not financially free your not free. Not to get philosophical here, but ask yourself this. Would you be "more free" if $1,000 dollars showed up in your bank account each morning? This is my point.

All people, families, and companies that created financial freedom used a system. I have studied these families and some people and companies. Most times these systems or formulas are very simple. Sometimes they are not accessible to the "average person" but many times they are.

A home based business that can be used as a vehicle to achieve financial freedom will do this one thing.... Through a simple system or series of systems it must do this one thing to create financial freedom for the entrepreneur who does the work. What must it do?

It must convert earned income into passive income.... That's it. If a home based business has the function of producing financial freedom it will do this.

This is simple. Are you good at following a simple system? Someone Else's system? Even when the system is logical, you've analyzed it and you actually like it, it is difficult to follow without a sufficient mind shift.

If your not financially free today a few things will happen between now and when you become financially free.
  1. You will make a decision to become financially free.
  2. You will study, read, converse, think about new ideas to produce a mind shift.
  3. You will associate with others who are like minded.
  4. You will create a burning desire for financial freedom.
  5. You will likely have and USE a mentor.
  6. You will clearly define you purpose and the life you will create for yourself.
Do you agree with these points? Disagree? Are you open to the idea that the only real difference between a person who is financially free and a person who is not is there thinking? Or maybe information. These points I believe are the main structural elements the bridge the gap from desiring financial freedom and achieving it with a real home based business.

Home Business to Start That Is Profitable.

Home Businesses to Start That are Profitable.

Starting a home business is on the minds and being done by literally millions of Americans today. Why are people starting a home business today instead of a traditional business.

  • No Expensive real estate costs.

  • No Employees.

  • No or very little equipment you don't already have in the home.

  • Spend time with the people you love.

  • More flexibility for family and real life.

  • Lack of fulfilling options in the work place.

  • The desire to live a quiet life and still enjoy a significant income.

The home based business model is profitable by its very design. With lower fixed and variable expenses, profits are realised much quicker than the traditional business model. What makes a home based business opportunity particularly profitable?

  • High Profit margin or commission of a product or service. Low Fixed expenses. Marketing plan that is slanted toward profitability. Developed back end sales systems. Solid company and step by step marketing funnel or system.

A home business to start that is profitable should seem "clean". There will be a sense of simplicity and order sometimes leaving you looking for the catch.

A component of leverage or a number of leveraging components is also crucial to a home business being profitable. If showing other opportunity seekers is a part of the business plan, leveraging you own expertise greatly reduces the brand new entrepreneurs learning curve thus adding value, training new associates is one form of leveraging in a home based business that is profitable.

Developed back end sales simply means systems, products, and compensation structures are in place for customers that already exist to purchase again. This is a strong leveraging component that assist in more profits with the same amount of expense and without the time of acquiring a new customer.

Home based business profitability is more readily obtained when working closely with a mentor. Leadership is greatly rewarded in the home business industry. If you have strong leadership skills and can communicate well with others, the home based business industry could be a great fit for turning your strong desire for profits into reality.

Most Profitable Businesses in The Home Business Industry.

Most Profitable Businesses in The Home Business Industry.

The word profit is generally understood and accepted as " money left after fixed and variable expenses."

Fixed Expenses are costs that accrue every month or quarter. They are going to be there and are the easiest to budget for, they have to be paid no matter what. These expenses include such things as building costs, which could be a lease, rent, or mortgage payment; Utilities, such as water, gas and electric, and telephone/Internet.

Variable expenses can include things like payroll, insurances, advertising, purchasing product or materials to produce the end product, tools and equipment, marketing, advertising, expense accounts and many other expenses alike. These are typically expenses that are scalable or can be reduced or increased as demand and market conditions require.

With that being said, it would make sense to say that the most profitable businesses in the home business industry would be the ones that had the lowest fixed and variable expenses along with an in demand product or service, a scalable variable expense system, and a robust commission structure.

Direct sales as a high profit example in the home business industry.

Direct sales allows you, the entrepreneur, to market a product, usually the parent companies product, at a substantial commission. You, the home based entrepreneur, don't carry the fixed expenses (warehouse, office building). You also have complete control over the variable expenses (employees, insurances, office supplies, marketing/advertising) You control your own budget!!

This principle is what actually offers the average person a shot at earning an executive level income starting with minimal out of pocket expense.

There are, in my experience, two general ways to go about earning a large income in a profitable direct sales home business.
One: You can market an inexpensive product that appeals to many and be profitable via volume.

Two: You can market a high end product that appeals to a target market and be profitable via Large profit margins.

Then, as with most things in life, there will be profitable businesses in the home based business sector that combine both and achieve a result that is more desirable. It seems balance constantly shows up in life and business.

Here is a tip: If you are marketing a product of service that requires you to personally talk to or assist another human being, market a product or service with a healthy profit margin. There are certain tasks that come along with a sale or an order fulfillment. If your going to be doing the work anyway, why not get paid what your worth?

Most profitable businesses that are home based are profitable for more significant reasons than you can read in the numbers. Leadership and communication play a huge role in home businesses being profitable and sustainable. A company with great leadership will provide an environment of achievment and can make the difference between earning 70k or 80k and earning 100k to 250k... Get the picture.

Step by step systems are huge when it comes to new home based entrepreneurs getting off to a fast start toward profitability. Every business goes through what are termed the "shake out years". It is said that it takes a business as long to get to 25% of the total yearly revenue it will realize as it does to get to 100%. When you choose to get started with a high end direct sales opportunity you are avoiding those shake out years!

What does this mean to a person looking for the most profitable home business to start? Well it means this:

Find a company that has been in business for at least 3-5 years (shake out years) and a company that has a growing vision. This is huge. Business models and strategic objectives used to be static. Meaning a group of entrepreneurs sat down, wrote a business plan, formulated a strategic objective and went to work.

The first few years were years of implementing system and stream lining processes to achieve maximum efficiency. Then the business objective was realized in the time following the shake out years.

This is not the case any more. Companies are realizing that the business world is meant to constantly change. It needs to be a "living" entity. A company with a constantly growing vision and an innovative culture will always be providing a way for the home based entrepreneur to become more an more profitable.

Thanks for reading this post. What do you think? Any ideas on profitablility? Any Questions?

Comments are welcomed.

Home Based Business How To Get Started

How to Get Started In A Home Based Business.

Looking back over the conversations I've had with people I'm not real sure when I realized that People who decide to start businesses just made a choice.Leading up to a decision to do just about anything there is a weighing period. We human beings tend to make decisions based on pain, and the avoidance of it, more consistently than seeking something better.

I went through this weighing period in 2005 and 2006. I was experiencing things in business that I once could not fathom which was cool. Problem was though, I couldn't sleep. I would have periods of 3 and 4 days that I just could not sleep. Success in that business was brutal. And the industry was even worse.... Stressful.

How could I justify looking elsewhere, after all I had invested 8 years or so in this business and millions of dollars. Here's what happened. My mind would wander daily about what I really wanted, it was almost like I was working for someone while I dreamed of the life I wanted. Isn't that nut's?? Not to go into a bunch of personal reflection here, but basically I needed to do something, so I built that business. I was young and full of undirected energy. So I directed it.

I say these things to support the Ideas I'm about to introduce. Getting started in business is awesome. Do it now. I would not change one thing about my life today. Directing your energy and becoming an entrepreneur is the most valuable way to invest your existence, provided your and entrepreneurial person...and if your not you wouldn't be here right NOW reading this. You'd be watching T.V.

Getting Started in a home based business is not complicated. Find someone who operates a home based business. Talk to them. Introduce your self and ask if you can ask them a few questions...

The Technical Aspects of Getting Started Will Look Very Similar To This:

Once you find a home based business that can deliver what your looking for, get started. Introduce yourself to everyone you can via e-mail and phone calls. If your in a team type atmosphere ask each person you talk to for another person and number you can call to introduce yourself. This is important.. This is the start of your mastermind group. ( People you feel comfortable succeeding with)

How To Get Started In A Home Based Business.

Get a home business Mentor. Find a Person You Can Learn From.
  • Get a DBA at the County Clerks Office. ($10)

  • Look into an LLC, INC,SCorp ( depending on your assets and business)

  • Develop a Workable Budget. (use a mentor for this.)

  • Learn only from people who have the results your after.

  • Only take advise from people who have a vested interest in you.

  • Develop a daily method of operation. (what will you need to do everyday)

People who have a vested interest in your success will help you step by step. Actually most home business entrepreneurs who mentor other's will have a step by step approach to getting set up.

When I first started my home business I worked with a couple from New York they were great. Every thing was stream lined and fast. I generated 2o thousand dollars in revenue the first couple weeks. I was just listening to them. I really didn't even know what I was doing. This is the power of a good mentor. They already know what your after... they will help you get it.

Be Successful: Be consistent, persistent, coachable, driven, focused, and ready to receive.

Daily contact with successful people is the most valuable idea that you will implement, do it quickly.

Let the people who help you know you appreciate them. It helps if you use words... they Are Magic... Have Fun.. Visualize what you want for yourself.... Read Books... Ask for suggestions...

Starting a Profitable Home Based Business

Getting Started In A Profitable Home Based Business Depends on Motivation:

Your Motivation and Motives Will Determine your Path. It's a good idea to know your motivators when choosing to start a home based business. Make sure you get what you came for. If you start a high profit home based business so you could travel the world then don't put all your money into real estate or paying down debt... Get what you came for.

I've noticed that in my own life I tend to make a real change when, and only when I am either absolutely tired of something or I really want something different. Every now and then though, maybe its age, I will simply have a quiet realization that if I make a few intentional changes I can cause great improvements. And I do.

Socrates stated that all motivation comes from two sources: We are either avoiding pain or seeking pleasure. When choosing to start a home based business you will be motivated by one of these.

In fact one of the only reasons you looking at starting a business from home or a work from home opportunity is either because you want something new or you want to stop something that you currently do. Maybe your retiring soon and want a sense of purpose, or maybe your want to earn money so you can retire.Maybe you love your job. Many do.

Maybe you see, in starting a profitable home based business, a way to earn another 40k per year that would let you do something you've been wanting to do or buy a piece of property, or just supplement your income. Most of us don't have a hard time finding things to do with our money.

It really is important to know where your motivation lies. If your wanting to start a profitable business from home so you can quit your job, then realize one day your motivator will be gone, then what? I always do dream building or life by design statements, myself and with those I coach.

Its popular to use where your at or where you have been to motivate your inner drive, however, if you really want to life a life of creative adventure an purpose you will have to find another means of motivation.

Remember your the most profitable thing going. At the end of the day you have everything inside right now to navigate any sea and create whatever it is you wish. Develop a crystal clear picture of what you want. Know what you desire.

If a you want to earn serious income, while being mobile and free to do as you wish, a profitable business venture you can operate from home may be part of the equation.

As Jim Rohn Says: (paraphrased) You will have changes in your life this year, Why not pick the ones you want?

New Career Option For Baby Boomers

Baby Boomers Looking to Retire, Are They Looking To Rest, Or Refocus? My Experience Says Refocus... Sort of.

I Talk With Many Baby Boomers Looking To Start a Business From Home. I Often Ask The Question, " What do you see yourself doing in the next 10-15 Years", This Is What They Say. Having Fun, Do Things They Sacrificed Doing During Family/Working Years, And Many Made Choices of Responsibility and Practicallity During Midlife and Now Are Ready to Explore Those Options They Choose Against.

To be completely honest, It sort of suprised me to here so many 50 something baby boomers tell me they were looking to have fun, enjoy life and try new things. I would have expected it from people closer to there mid twenties. I have always seen baby boomers as responsible, self sacrificing, and conservitive. Turns out they were sand bagging.

It seems to me that baby boomers have the mindset, especially in career matters, that puts business or career first, then they will play. They are a generation of people who had a starting point and ending point when it comes to career.
If your open to evaluating a lucrative home business, fill out the quick form on this site or visit our success
business opportunity
main site.

It seems that many baby boomers knew they had other aspirations and entertained new ideas all through their working careers, but many sort of made a list of things to do at retirement. Nowadays it seem people are trying to do everthing all at once career, family, travel, hobbies, corporate career, business on the side.... and on and on.

Baby boomers have a career long set of skills and are by no means just hanging a hammock in the back yard as a strategy for retirement. That's not to say there is'nt a hammock back their, its just that they tend to be over it after a few months of R & R.

New careers for baby boomers are being selected not so much out of need and skill, but rather significance and flexibility. The opportunity for a baby boomer to have impact without a full time committment is also very appealing. Home based business opportunities, turning a hobby into a small business, mentoring, and community involvement are all options that baby boomers choose to continue to have impact after they have put a bow on their careers.

Best Small Businesses to Start In 2008

What are the best small businesses to start in 2008. I friend asked me the other day, "what do you think is the best business to be in right now, this year"? It seemed like a funny question to me.

Does the best business in 2008 really differ from the best small business ideas of 2007. The trend spotters and trend critics always seem to have a fun time with these creative angles they take on small business and the things people are doing.

Is the "best small Business" the one most people are in or is it the newest small business idea. I hear the green business concepts talked about a lot, I hear about technology and human wellness business concepts.

The home based business industry is one of the fastest growing segments in the U.S. economy. I am in the home based business industry, to be honest I had no idea that it even was a segment in the economy until well after I became a home based entrepreneur. So why was the small
business I started the best for the me. That's simple, I knew exactly what I wanted and the business I found met the requirements.

I had spent several years building a multi-million dollar commercial construction firm and had a very clear sense of what I did not want. This is, by the way, how I arrived at what I did want. I loved to stand in a revenue flow of over 2 million dollars, that was cool. The profitability of that revenue flow in the business model I operated just seemed silly. There was a clue for me. I want to be in a high profit business. I did not want waste and I wanted to have a clearly defined core concept in business. I wasn't interested in measely profit margins, 15, 20 30 percent profits, give me a break.

I wanted to know exactly which activities were going to produce income and which activities were going to give me more time freedom. There were literally dozens of items on that list I made. I wanted to be able to help people and not have to constantly fight and be on gaurd of people stealing or being over billed or waiting on the state to recieve money that was 3-6 months over due. I wanted a sense of control of my financal future..

So At the end of the day the best small businesses of 2008 will be the same businesses that were the best in 2007. They will be the businesses that resonate with each entrepreneur in that special way that ends up with the entrepreneur saying "yep, this is it".

Quick tip for the readers: If your looking for a business to start, an opportunity to leverage, or a way to generate another income stream take the time to set yourself up for success.

Begin with the end in mind.

What do you really want: How much time do you want to spend. How much money do you want to invest, How much money to you want to earn in the first year, Does the business need to be helping people, Do you want to use the internet as a tool, Do You need to be international, Does the business need to be independant of your local economy.

Once you have a clear picture of what it is your looking for you will be much closer to The Best Small Businesses to Start in 2008.
