Home Based Business Resources: Information-SBA-Social Network.

Home Based Business Resources

I often find myself looking through home business resources and am amazed at the amount of information about starting a home business. Home based business entrepreneurs really have a great way of sharing information.
Home Based business Start up Information
Information on starting a business from home that is based on real home business experience is the best. Entrepreneur .Com is a great resource and they have this home based business resource section that provides a ton of small home business information.

Another site I spend time on that always has lots of home business type stuff is http://www.bestrealincome.com/ The information on this site varies widely from tax issues in home based business to ideas for income earning from home.
Home Based Business & Small Business Administration (SBA)
The small business administration has a special branch that deals with businesses operated from the home you can visit this site to learn about home based business government regulations.
Social Network for Home Based Businesses

I even came across a home based business social networking site. Home based business resources are available for free to anyone who wishes to self educate and that is what people who are having results are doing. Starting a home based business using the Internet is an ally of the persistent.

I tend to focus on mindset and the "why" of starting a work at home business. Why do I do that? Pretty simple, the resources available are so extensive that the only reason I could see to provide more is to increase web traffic and that is a bit mundane.

How To Become a Home Based Business Entreprenuer

Where do I fit in?

Helping people develop their "why" is about the most valuable thing I can offer. Give me someone who really wants freedom in their life. A person who is willing to go after what they really want and I'll show you a person who can be successful in a home based business.
Most people "try things out" trying things out is, in my experience not real productive. I confess though, when I choose to get started in this home business there was a part of me that said, " I'm gonna see if this really work's". People do get started and quit, it happens. Some people feel that choosing to get started will automatically start making money appear in their bank account.
It makes sense to let people know up front that it requires work and persistence, because it does. People want to ask, " Will I be successful?" The only answer is, " I don't know, will you?" If a person is coachable and is willing to follow a step by step plan for a consistent time frame they can be successful. That is difficult to do for some people.
I try to help people not "make it better" and " follow the simple steps". Our own thinking can be the biggest hurdle to overcome, as with anything new. It does get easier though when you get the result you were after. Results breed confidence. Success breeds success.
Is starting a home business opportunity a realistic way to earn significant income?

Starting a top tier home business opportunity is realistic, even though it is widely marketed as a "earn 150k per month" and live in the Bahamas, it can be whatever you make of it. Most of the people I talk with who are evaluating the idea of starting a home business are simply looking to earn 6-15k per month.

Successful Home Based Business.
Top home based businesses in the home industry are really awesome when you look at it from a lifestyle perspective. For me the idea of earning a multiple six figure income without one employee was crazy. I didn't know anyone who was doing that and it simply intrigued me.
Building a successful home business start up is (in my experience) time well spent, a true asset that grows with time and effort.

I didn't need a whole lot more than to talk with a few people who were doing it and were willing to help me do the same. But for the detail oriented, due diligence people, who are looking more closely at what it takes to start a business, here is another good place to learn more.
