My Disclaimer. I am bias. I love working at home. I work at home. And I believe that home based business, as an industry, is the most relevant trend, idea, and income source of the time we live in. A year ago I would have said it is a forward thinking idea. Not true any more.

According to entrepreneur magazine 25 million Americans alone, operate a home based business, in other words approximately every 11 seconds someone starts a work at home based business.

With most franchises there is a franchise manual that talks about franchise regulations, franchise processes, audit requirements and the like. The franchise business model basically allows the owner to play the role of CEO or General Manager. The franchise prototype is a group of connected systems that produces a predictable result. Business development and planning comes pre packaged, if you will.

With Most all Franchises come franchise fees, which are as I understand it, fees that allow the buyer to use the name, that may or may not have national brand recognition. After franchise fees there will be other costs associated. Mandy franchises require that you obtain a building either by purchasing or leasing. They may require also that you pay a monthly marketing fee.

Most home based business opportunities are operated from a home office which eliminates the need for expensive real estate, employees and many times the costly equipment. In my research, it appears that most franchise opportunities are opportunities to by a job. Keep in mind though your buying a job at the top of the ladder.
