Change Career to a Home Business : Help to Make The Transition.

"Changing your career to a home business won't need to be a stress invested, fearful time in your life, provide your willing to take certain steps. I talk with people on a daily basis who have, are thinking of, or are ready to make the career change to a home business. Here is what I've learned"

First off, the business you are considering plays a huge role in the transition into to becoming a successful home business entrepreneur. Are you turning a hobby into your business? Will you be a sole proprietor? Will you have employees? All these things make a big difference.

Here is the point though... Regardless of the career your changing from or the business your changing to, you can do it. From the minute you make the decision to become a self employed home business owner you will forever be in search of knowing the next thing. That is if you plan to be successful.

Getting used to being open and in a transitional process of discovery is tough at first, but it gets easier.... Here is how. You will over time develop the understanding that it is OK to not know. I suggest your remember this----- No matter what, I have everything I will ever need right now, to accomplish, achieve or solve anything I will ever need to accomplish, achieve or solve.

Sometimes during you transition to a home based business this simple fact will mean you can read and learn about a particular thing. Sometimes it will mean a skill you already possess, and sometimes one you will acquire.

Our careers taught us to always know. And we did. We had one area function in or corporate career that we were responsible for and we knew it. In a changing careers to a home business this wont be an effective approach. How do you keep on track and maintain a reasonable confidence?

  • Every morning make a list of the six most important things to do each day.

  • Make a list of your biggest bothers in your home business every Friday.

  • Ask yourself, " do I know anyone who has overcome this bother or someone who could help"

  • Talk regularly with a mastermind group.

Staying organized in your new home business is important, not only for being efficient, but also in keeping your head clear.

Many people choose to start a home business on the side and keep their career for a while. This is one way that can greatly reduce stress in your life and possibly your finances. I have built a traditional business from scratch to millions in yearly revenue. When I first started out, I did not have any real responsibility. I worked hard and hoped that would cover for the mistakes I would make along the way. And it did.

Typically a person who is going to change their career to a home business will have already developed a lifestyle and certain personal expenses. Be on budget, don't be hopeful, or optimistic when creating your budget either. Mental health and your well being will be crucial to your small home business career.

I embarked on another entrepreneurial journey late in 2006. A home based business that could be operated from anywhere via a cell phone or Internet connection was what caught my eye. It was presented to me that I could earn a significant income (six figures plus) working part time from home without one employee.

At the time I had over thirty employees and work a zillion hours. I evaluated that business opportunity and got started. It was turnkey with simple system in place, that's what made it possible to only work 2-4 hours per day. The system only includes "income producing activities". You've likely heard of the 80/20 principle right? Well this at home business only operates in the 20% part of that equation.

Transitioning into a home based business model from a traditional business or a career in corporate America is not bad at all. Having other people to help along the way was very refreshing to me. It was difficult to get help in the other business as I was viewed as competition.

To the right person, I would definitely recommend changing a career to a home based business.
